About the Location
This retreat center is located on the beach near the warm Caribbean waters. All the bungalows open onto the soft beach beneath beautiful palm trees. Click here to visit the Shambala Petit website and view pictures of the rooms.
You’ll be served fresh and local Mexican/Mayan cuisine. Our group’s warm and peaceful atmosphere and an optional group trips to a nearby cenote and the ancient temples of Tulum will make this an unforgettable new development in all of our lives.
Appreciating the magic of any moment depends upon your ability to be aware that it is magic.
Tulum is just south of the Cancun area. It is much less developed and more environmentally protected. Not far from the retreat center is an area of the beach closed off to humans so the sea turtles can have a quiet and undisturbed area to lay eggs. The intent for the area is to keep things as peaceful and clean as they have always been. At night, there are very few lights and only natural noise. Overall it is remarkably tranquil. The temperature of both the air and the water is ideal. This retreat will take place from December 28, 2011 to January 4, 2012. We will get to ring in the 2012 new year together with the Mayans. It is a rare opportunity!
